Connacht - Luxury

The Foxford Woollen Mills Visitor Centre in Mayo allows visitors to tour the mills, where beautiful rugs, tweeds and blankets are made. The centre also includes a restaurant, exhibition centre, art gallery, heritage room, and other craft workshops.

Visitors to County Mayo can arrange a day of fishing at the Cloonamoyne Fishery. The professional angling service advises and equips visitors to help them fish the beautiful Connacht area waters. The fishery rents fully equipped boats, tackle, and provides transport to and from fishing.

The Atlantic Adventure Centre in Lecanvey offers kayaking lessons to both adults and children.

The Quay Cottage is a gourmet seafood restaurant in Westport. The restaurant features stunning views of the nearby harbour. The menu features fresh seafood including lemon sole beurre blanc or wild salmon. After the meal, visitors can take a leisurely walk along the waterside.

Visitors can see a show at the Blue Raincoat Theatre in Sligo, which presents both daytime and evening shows. The Blue Raincoat is one home to one of the few Irish acting companies to own its own theater. More information on tickets and upcoming shows can be found online here

In Galway, visitors can watch the Galway horse races at the Galway Racecourse. The racecourse attracts horse lovers and high rollers from across the entire country.
